Good stuff man! Getting new parts is always a good time. The inside of the oil gally looks just fine, no worries there. Make sure you pick up and new gasket. Also when you route the lines for the oil cooler (if your using rubber lines, also don't think the single line you got with the cooler will fit, I have another line you can have, pay for shipping and its yours if you want it. I opped for the SS line.) Be sure to keep them away and taught so that they don't touch the header. I got the same cooler, used 6 zip ties to attach it to the frame rails. If you haven't already cut the front fender apart in the front. (cut a 3" or so section out of the plastic right under were the hood covers. Use a razor blade. It will have no effect on you fender mounting and allow for the whole cooler to be hit by the air)

Also if you want to test the block off and you don't want to take the fittings out. Blow air through the back tiny hole in the gally and the air should only come out of the bottom fitting on the front, if it comes out of both, you gotta take the fittings off and re-block the gally with some liquid metal of something similar. Its always best to check but I'm sure its all set up just right.

One more thing, when you fill it back up with oil, put in the exact amount, run it for a minuet or two then add some more to make up for the line and cooler space. And remember when you do oil changes the the added space is there now.

okay, how much is shipping to 28478?

gotta order the new gasket since this one is thrashed. tested the block off and its works as it should. may need to search for a pic of the hood where you cut it. never took the front plastic off myself.

what is the normal oil capacity for the warrior? i have been using 2qts of yamalube and its full, but i have seen where people are using 3+ qts after the cooler mod. wondering if i can get away 2.5 qts.

and about the clutch, do i need to do anything afterwards?

anyway, thanks for the pointers.

The casting inside my clutch cover looked the same as yours, nothing to worry about.

Stock oil capacity is just over 2 quarts, I think mine took about 2.8 quarts of oil for a regular oil change with filter.

2500cc is the stock amount of oil... mine takes about 2750-3000cc with the oil cooler....

hmm, well, the local yammy dealer told me i only needed 2 qts. oh, well gonna have to use more now anyway haha.

thats seems weird because the service manuals say 3.38qts and i 've never had a problem using that much.

What service manual says that? That's way off! I bet the oil is about half an inch over the full mark on the dipstick with that much, if not worse. The average v6 car engine only takes 4 quarts, having almost that much in a .35 liter engine just doesn't make sense, does it?

yeah that's a lot of oil.. don't overfill and ride.. you'll blow out ur rings, gaskets, and start the smoke show on startup..
