2002 Yamaha warrior no spark. Checked all threads for procedure to check coil, stator and pick up coil. Coil has orange and black wires coming in. What ohm reading should I have with ignition on. And what ohm reading should I have when cranking. Threads confusing.
Same with stator wires coming out. I see the three white wires and have read the procedure to test but is that test done while cranking or just with ignition on.

I don't have procedure for testing pickup coil and assume the Cdi electronic box can't be tested just swapped out and pray.

I know u guys been through this no spark issue countless times so a little patience here with a newbie would be appreciated. Trying to bring this warrior I fell into back to life. Thanks for anything u can tell me to make it easier to get through cause it looks like this is a common problem.

Also the ignition key switch was cut and spliced together when last owner lost key. He may have forgotten to undo splice and fried something. Thanksagain

I will take any info u have. Even theories on why this goes on.

Did u download the free Manuel? Its on the 2 and page of the thread I pasted up before. You gotta get a multimeter to ohm out the different parts to diagnos your no spark. The Manuel has the step by step directions to do so.

Thank u sir. I have meter and am testing ignition coil now primary. Have .3 ohms chart says .18 to .28. Can't get a reading on secondary not enough hands or ingenuity.

Is it possible to check stator by disconnecting the orange and black wire that goes to ignition coil connect the meter to it and check the ohms. Hit the starter and see if the ohms go up? Don't really know how the Cdi controls the ignition coil.
