Warrior Rod bearing out

I have a 2002 warrior that the rod bearing just went out on. I've never had one of these motors apart, I have worked on several snowmobile engines, but these are a little different. I am interested in knowing if any of you have any tricks or this to watch for when splitting the case? And also if there is anything that a guy wants to replace while we have it apart? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
