Warrior shifting problem

My warrior has been having some trouble engaging gears for some time now. Its still fully functional but shifting between gears can take two tries and I make an effort to make a good shift. I also have to jack around with first gear, the reverse lever, and rocking it sometimes to get it into first. I'm not too keen on transmissions but would this be the result of a worn shift drum?

Does it seem to get worse as the engine gets hot?

Hmm good question. I would almost say it does but I've never looked for that kindof difference. I think so
