I've had the cam timing mark almost 3/4" off due to stretched timing chain and it still ran like a top
how bout the intake boot between the head and carb any cracks

intake boot is also good. seems as if everything fuel related is up to par. Question about the cdi, if it was bad or going bad, would it be possible for it to start and idle good, then run like **** with any amount of throttle? Most cdi problems that ive ever dealt with, are, it's either doing good, or it ain't doing ****. never had one "kind of" messed up/bad.

same here cdi's are usually good or completely dead have yet to hear a case where it was starting to go

I put new rings in it. compression was testing around 120 after that. ill check again this evening and see if its changed any. but again..if compression is bad in my experiences it wobt start and if it does it idles like ****. its got me and everybody else confused as to why its doing what it is

OK, I've finally got this sumbitch to ride!! turns out, that the plug that was left for the p-brake switch was shorting out inside of it somehow. So, got that fixed!! WOO!! BUT.....now...have another damn problem. Bike runs great up until about 3/4-full throttle. then it starts poppin/missin/ boggin down. almost tries to cut out at comple wot. It did this before after I put on a new air filter, so I upped the main jet, and raised needle clip up one(put it at 2nd clip to top). And it ran great until the p-brake switch problem. I dropped the needle back to stock height(3rd spot) tonight and it didn't help it any, maybe made it a tad bit worse. It's not backfiring a flame out of the exhaust. So...what could be the problem now? Would new rings make a difference in any of that?

ok, ive read about the plug chop, but could you explain exactly what I need to do on this? I've never really understood it correctly..i don't think. I'm ready to ride this bitch lol.

get it going up in 6th gear wot for a good 50 to 100 yards then hit the kill switch pull clutch and coast to a stop and pull plug and see what color the porcelain inside is

ok thanks. so only get to full throttle in 6th? it will do the poppin/missin at full throttle in any gear right now. and..what exactly do I need to look for on the plug? what color/shades mean what exactly?

black =rich
Tan-brown=good
white-grey=lean

you want it in a higher gear to put more load on the motor to get a good reading

ok, Ill try that tomorrow. which way should I move the needle clip for rich? which way for lean? that jets in it now are Main-150 pilot-45. It has a uni-foam filter and a pro circuit t4 slip on. Stock air box. And that's all the mods. Also, should I pick up some new main jets? I have a 145 that was in it before I changed the air filter.

Needle clip up leans
Needle clip down rich
if it idles fine then stay with the 45 pilot
if it's rich at wot with the 150 then try a 147.5
and then adjust needle clip to fine tune

the stock factory warrior jetting is
42.5 pilot
145 main
needle clip 3rd notch from top or middle notch

Ok. ill try it this evening and see what i come up with. it ran fine before i changed the rings and the valve seals. would the new parts be why it is doing this? Making the engine pull more air in?
