warrior top end rattle/knock(update with pics)

Introduced myself here and info about my warrior.

Brought the quad home... cleaned carb, changed oil, set the valves, checked timing this morning.

It runs great but once its warm it has a top end rattle/knock.
Cold it sounds like any other thumper 4 stroke.

I think what I am hearing is piston slap....





What say you..... warrior pros??? EDIT.. after watching the videos its hard to tell at rpm on the vids but its definitely their at idle.

From my experience all the warriors I have riden (3) tick a lot including mine. I replaced my timing chain and my valves are in spec. I'm not sure but I think the warriors tick a bit more than others

Decided to pull the top end off the quad. Piston was trashed as well as the jug.
It had a JE 12:1 ratio piston in it. It had been detonating bad for a LONG time. I'm guessing it was run on pump gas.

Just thought I would pass on my findings.

Rebuild was completed yesterday with a new jig and piston.

I used a cast Namura with a coated top.It seams that some hate them and some love them.
