ya id start with the ground. if you remember i was having trouble with mine last spring where it would fire once in a while but had no power. the ground wire in question on mine was the little one that comes off the battery cable. my quick connect pretty much fell apart in my hand when i finally figured it out. im not sure where that ground goes but i would deffinitly check that one out.
 
How do I test the coil and stator? I'm not very electrically inclined. Bad ground is all we can come up with?
 
awe what the hell!!! i had a big reply typed up and i must not have hit post! i hate it when i do that.... anyways the jist of it was if you download the manual and look on page 285 it will walk you through checking the coil resistances... the manual can be found on bluetraxx.com in a sticky if you dont have it... let me know how you make out....
