Well long story short, picked up a project warrior.
Its a 2002, just rebuilt it, and now I have some electrical gremlins to resolve.
The issue is that the engine will turn over and try to stary with the start button, with the main switch in the off position. But with the switch in the on/run position, the start button does nothing. Now the key works as it should. There is no spark. Something has to be reversed but I have no idea. I've checked and rechecked all the wiring according to the wiring diagrams in the service manual, and it all seems legit But who knows. Any tips or recommendations?

bad switch? You try taking it apart and cleaning the contacts?

It will start and run?

I've ripped the switch apart and its like new. It wont start or run because it has no spark. I'm not wondering if the no spark though is because the switch is technically off, but something is all fubar making it try to start when its in the off position, and not the on.

I'm going to re-check everything again. Just found another service manual for 02-04 warriors, and they changed the wiring it looks for them. I wish I could just find another 02-04 warrior, and get the entire electrical assembly off it and be done.
