it has a paul turner mid pipe and a fmf exhaust a kiehn racing carb and thats all i see thats done to the motor cant wait to ride it waitin on a chain from dennis kirk.

why would you trade and downsize?
I coulda bought one of those in town here for cheap when i first started looking for a machine.

I went with the warrior as I figured bigger engine, and (Im guessing) one more gear.

plus the warriors about as small as I could go with.. im 6'3" and Im already thinking I should try n find a new seat or get one custom made with extra foam kinda thing to lift me up a bit higher for comfort..lol

as a kid, I wanted one hardcore.. a guy in town had one, seen hom ride it a bit, and I loved everythign about it that I seen.. but that was then.. lol

the headlight is already gone.got some pro taper fat bars on order w/chain.im a smaller guy im about 5"7.so the warrior seemed big to me.but this suzuki seems to fit me well.i kicked this thing over this morning for about 5 minutes before it fired.ive also heard they are very testy motors.now you guys got me doubting myself..lol

dude their fast as hell, these are great tt bikes

tt ??

I didnt know.. prolly lighter too..

maybe I shoulda checked it out, but it looked pretty beat, and aside from the obvious need to repair the hell outta her, I dont think I'll ever regret getting the warrior.

Shes gona do me just great for a good long while, especialy now that its almost like brand new condition again..

although, Im always gonna wonder now...

Wat? lol now i hear this after i get a keihn for my bike.............

You'll be fine, Keihn are awesome carbs. 2-stroke quads in general are really temperamental. Any amount of weather change really messes with your jets and they are common for fowling plugs out. between that and mixing gas, I'll pass on the 2-stroke scene.......unless I was a Banshee. Yamaha 4 life.

TT = Flat Track

Yeah, they are quick but the Warrior will out run them in the end. They are just quicker in the beginning, its the powerband and read setup. Down fall is that they don't like to be lugged around to much in the woods, something a warrior is right at home doing.

haha deadlast u should ride one of these things before thinkin a warrior would outrun a quadracer 250r, these things scream and run rite with a honda 250r or for that matter a tecate 4. but u are right on the woods part in a way but around here older 250r's are not an uncommon sight to see winning hare scrambles ect

Just dont go jumping it all over the place... You'll probably break the frame sooner or later. The LT was a pretty quick bike, but it had the weakest frame of the 250's at the time. Just keep up on rebuilds (do them every 40 hours if you are rec riding) to prolong engine life and reliability. Other than that, have fun with it.

I had one set up for flattrack in the mid 90's and it was an animal . Tips - quality 2 cycle mix ,K/N filter , new reeds once a year no matter what , and if you woods ride a lot gear it down a bit on the rear . That will keep the RPM's up so you dont fowl plugs all the time . Check the rubber intake boot for an air leak, fresh plug , drain the gass out of the tank and carb and mix fresh . you dont know how or what the previous owner used. You can get a DIALAJET for the weather change and that will help with slight changes . Extreme changes will prob require new jets . The exhaust and intake have to be sealed tight or itll be hard starting and sluggish.

My buddy rebuilt one, actually had a warrior before, He was a member on here. Its nice when its running right but more problems then its worth. And there is no comparison (well there is, alot actually but not for the sake of my argument, lol) to the Suzk250 and the 250R. The 250R is and was like the modern day 450R for its time. Just an all around monster of a great bike. Probably one of the only things Honda ever did right. HAH
