Im looking for some tips on removing my rear lug nuts and my oil drain plug. My sockets dont seem to fit,. Please if anyone can give me some exact sizes on these hex's it would be very much appreciated. (everythings OEM)

Ive got a set of cresent mm sockets but the damn thing has a little play, its not a tight fit and its breaking over with moderate pressure. This thing is challenging my patience...

the lugs are 14 the drain plug is either 17 or 19 mm get a set of six point sockets the greatest thing invented

yeah alot of cheap sockets do that because the the tolerance arent as tight for the company that makes it go get ya some good sockets craftsman is good for the price but my choice is SNAP ON all the way and the lugs are 14 and the drain i believe is an 18 or 19mm i think dont quote me on that

the oil dran is 18 mm i think but its a bitch to get off it breaks a lot but if it keep breaking on you i have a plan on how to get it off but you will have to get a new one to replace it just pm if you need to know how.

when you put the drain plug back on, dont go he-man on tightening. just snug it up a little to seal the o-ring and it will come off alot easier. no need to wrench it down.

Once again, thanks guys. This machine is coming together great.. I have a few little ends I have to tie up before I open the throttle. It sucks cause my thumb is itchy as hell..

A little tip on taking off the oil drain plug, get a hammer and give a few taps to it, (not hard) then use an 18mm socket, should come off like butter. I learned my lesson after I stripped the hell outa it.

also when i bought my quad the drain plug was already striped so i had a very hard time to get it out just stand the quad up on the grab bar get a hammer and a flat head screw driver place the tip of the screw driver on the edge of the plug and hit the screwdriver with the hammer lightly in the right direction and it should come loose and just replace it they are real cheap use a 6 point socket and like already said dont go heman on it
