What is the best way to mod the motor? Is it in cylinder, crank ,or head? i belive its more in the head on four strokes, so im thinkin bout doing this to my my motor, +1 intake valve from duncan racingclean up the rough casting marks, mill the head .010, and get a new iming chain. dose this sound good for a trail / weekend racer type of quad?

And a cam and that should be a good idea for a woods racer small lift cam not a .430 or bigger that's tobig for the woods and a bigger carb with the head work and it will run good

i might get my stock carb taper bored to like a 37 or 38. what cam would be good? web cams? i want a low to mid cam. i probably wont get the head milledi just want to do simple mods that are practicly cheap like a budget build.

A wed or mega cycle .390 is probably what you are going to be looking for I run a hot cam and its not got the duration I wanted

Doin head work is gonna give you the most power for your money. Bigger valves, port and polish, good valve job, and a cam will give it alot of HP. Carb, piston, and exhaust is good to. The fast you can get air in and then out the better!

:tup: I taught you well grasshopper.

im deffinatly going to get it ported then with bigger intake valve and cam and a 3 angel valve job

Thats the way to go man, we'll feel a huge diff. My Dads big into drag racing so i know a lil about making power.:iagree: If you dont ride in DEEP water take the airbox lid off. Get a pro flow adapter and clamp on filter, sooo much easier to take off and clean. I have a Hotcam stage 1 which is .390 lift. But it is more of a mid to top end cam. Low end is about like stock, but once you start revin it out it just keeps pulling. Yoshimura is one of the most expensive exhaust to get but its for a reason, the best sounding and performing, I dont care what anyone says about that E series pipe. Ive had one and it didnt compare to the Yosh.

Find a local guy. Save you some money and you can build a repor with them. Also, I'd be faster.

That's just my opinion.
