I have a 1993 warrior with a stage one hotcam and a k&n air filter with a couple holes in the top to get more air. Set the valves to stock clearances and when I start it it starts fine but if I snap the throttle quick it will die. I am thinking I might need to up the jet but idk? suggestions please and thanks

Get a couple start with a 150..

150 seems a bit high. Do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket? I put a 150 in mine with just a uni pod filter and it was to much, went with a 147.5 and it works.

It has just a stock exhaust but there is nothing in it... it was acid washed from the guy before me so its pretty loud almost straight pipe.

Not high at all if he has a cam and k&n and every quad is different right off the get go with no mods they should be jetted one size which is 147.5

OK I will try one size bigger main jet and tune it a little bit more in the carb. thanks be back with results tomorrow.

very cool pen and valve cap mod I will be doing this tomorrow and re-clean carb with bigger jet

The valve cap/ pen spring mod is worth it, and if you ever bring your carb into a shop they will look at funny and ask why thats in there haha

I just got time to work on my warrior again because all the storm damage for power lines I have been working... but I put a 147.5 main jet in and 2 full screws out on air/fuel mixture screw runs really good. Thanks to everyone for the help just need to put the plastics on and ride! o ya and I did the pen spring and cap trick seems to be plenty snappy. thanks for that to
