sup dudes, i am kinda doing a little rebuild of my $500 warrior. I am in the process of painting the frame and Aarms. What color should the frame and arms be? I really like my friends special edition YFZ (the all black one) so i kinda think i want black everything. my plastics are black. Thanks dude. later :)

(im shooting it with a gun, not spray can and im a full time college student so im not powdercoating it. just so noone says "omg dont paint it, powdercoat it!!"

I just wanted to use the poll thingy. lol

i just painted mine.. just a quick bomb job.. remember this.. no matter what you paint it.. if you really ride your bike the paint wont last... thats why i bombed mine it cost me 2.00 and i can touch it up anytime i feel like giving her some loving.

i used rustoleum spray cans... its expensive for a can but holds up pretty damn good... you can also find it with metallic flake

i think a lime green would look badass!!! but from the colors that you have listed i would choose the black flake

paint! ::) if thats your choice, just have it powdercoated and have it gusseted for durability! i had my new xc race frame done for $ 400. why **** around?

^ supposedly you had that done! Hahaha, considering we've never seen you "new" frame yet!

and if i don't find full-time work, it will sit there on the shop floor and collect cobwebs forever! its not a good time to be in building trades!!!!

ive talked to some painters and they are all telling me that if im gonna do it i need to shoot it with a gun, rather than a can. they all said the paint out of a can is gonna suck way worse than paint for a gun.
I shot the stuff you get at autozone/orielys, Duplicolor paint shop auto stuff. just primed so far. Primer looks 10x better than it did. it was bright yellow. so im just kinda having fun with it.

also, any body know what "prism Clear coat" is? is at autozone. i dont know if its suppose to look sparkley or what. just currious, peace.

the paint you will shoot form a spray gun will be "better paint" but realistically like mentioned above if yoru gonna go that route then have it powder coated.. you wont have to worry abotu it flaking, chipping, getting scraped off ( unless its w rocks)

spray bomb like i did with some cheapo black .98 cent cans .. touch up is a breexe and its el cheapo..

i would rather not powdercoat it$$$$$$. are you guys shooting any kind of clear/protectant or just paint. cuz i didnt really realize how much paint actually goes on a frame. and the tab is adding up already. took me two quarts to hit it just with primer :(

I want to have some $ to get the cool stuff. nerfs, cooler setup, all that jazz

I got primer, three coats of black and two coats of clear on mine. It still chips. If i had the money I would of power coated but whatever. I hit it with a can from now and again if it starts to look bad.
