besides hunting someone who has torn down and rebuilt a bunch of YFMs, I cant find a match to the plastic mounting screws ( big Phillips headed screws with a lock nut on the back). I looked at Lowes, Home Depot, Autozone, Advance Auto, Murrays, Fastenal, and even the State 8 Dealer..

nothing!

anyone know where to strike gold?

What's the big deal about having something that matches stock parts? I just had stainless bolts with washers on mine and it didn't take away from the look at all.

If you need something that matches original, the easiest option is to just order the original yamaha parts from the supplier of your choice.

I prefer to take the time to find the right part.. it would bother me to just throw a bolt in where i have specialty screws everywhere else..

They have almost any original part for any make bike.
Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Polaris.

These are Factory parts shipped to you at a discounted price than what the local dealer charge.
They also have a full microfiche system so you can see exactly what you need. I have bought parts from them many times.

Just buy a box of bolts and nut from a dealer or shop. There is usually two or more of everything. I think the smaller box is about $15 and the larger is $25. I dont know if they have the phillips but i know i def used the flat round allen headed bolts to replace them. It beats spending $5.64 on one stupid screw. Been there done that once ... and only once.

Cheap and pretty fast shippers direct from Big Four warehouses across America.

Prices definitely beat the stealerships!
