Coolest thing I've seen is a guy wielded a female hitch in between the frame rails in the front. and then put the winch on a plate that was wielded to a male hitch part. That way the winch could come off and go on very easily.

That would be the best way to do it, so you don't have the extra weight all of the time. For some of the stuff I ride, I really need to get one. I've even thought of biulding a bumper, like Warn has for every quad but a warrior.

yeah that would make seince, weld a bumoer together with that htuch reciever or what ever, and also weld a reciever onto the rear so you can swap it out from back to front or whatever you need. somthing like this would do it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000...725697QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

but would the warrior have enough power to recharge the battery if you were using it quite abit? and would it drain the battery fast?

they sell 3K lb. ones at harbor freight for like $50. Hell you can heven get your hitch material there too.

and those hitches are warrantied.. so if you burn it up .. clean off the mud and get a new one its like BOGO

i used a harbor freight 3k wireless winch and fabbed up a protective cage around it along with a receiver mount. took the better part of a weekend taking my time but it came out pretty good and i use it all the time in the summer when i go mudding with my warrior. the receiver breaks down small enough that its possible to strap it to the grab bar when not in use so it dosent make the front end feel super heavy in corners. total setup including the winch and metal cost about $100.
