Wont Start after riding in snow!!

hey guys, this is my first post about my first ATV. 01 Warrior 350 runs great and love it. I was just out riding in the snow and it started and ran fine. drove it back to the house, parked it and went inside. Came back out 30 min later to move it into the garage and it wouldn't even turn over. Lights work and the battery is brand new. is there a fuse or something that might have gotten wet? im going to let it sit for a while and dry off and try it again. any help would be great. Thanks!!

check your main fuse, and if thats good jump the two posts on the starter solnoid. other than that check your grounds and make sure no connections are shorting out.

well i found out it'll start now but it will not find neutral. to move it i have to pull the clutch in. when i was riding it it shifted find and i could get it into neutral just fine. now i cannot get it into neutral to save my life. should i adjust the clutch somehow?

i changed the oil the night before i rode with some oreilly brand oil (20-50). ive read that i need to use a wet clutch specific oil instead. so im going to change the oil again with valvoline 10-40 atv oil and hope the clutches come back alive

you probably already messed the clutches up if you were running regular oil

If it will not find nuetral when the engine off then it is not the clutch. Hell, the clutch doesn't even have to be in the engine to shift through the gears. Have you tried doing it with your hand and not foot?

yeah ive tried with hand also. when i changed the oil, i noticed some metal **** in the filter so i figure the clutches have seen some wear. also it would occationally slip at high speeds and shift hard into first from neutral. then i guess i just iced the cake with the wrong oil. so now, what clutch kit should i buy? tusk, ebc? others?

I just got to ride my bike for the first 3 hours after resto. I like the driveline clutch thus far.

I have a driveline clutch in also. 10x better then ebc garbage that was in there.

Sounds like your original problem was a wet connection somewhere that dried out with time. Better pull all connectors and grease to avoid getting stuck on a muddy trail waiting for it to dry again.
