so i was out mudding with my friend today and i turned my warrior off and now it wont start :argh:. the lights and everything still work so i know its not the battery. but when i push the botton nothing happens. i wount even try to turn over. you guys have any ideas what it could be?
thanks mason

Jump the solenoid and see what happens. Could be your start switch, could be the clutch safety switch or, it could be the kill switch.

I'll guess kill switch or clutch safety switch.

was there a buzz or click sound? With a low battery your lights will work but not enough to start it, I'd put it on a charger just incase. If you charge it and it cranks it over it could be a bad battery or maybe stator, I had a broken white wire off the stator and so it wouldn't charge the battery but would bump start and while it was running it ran great. I'd shut it off and nothing. Just another thing to check

I would place bets that if you were out mudding and got mud all over your controls then that could be the problem or you got mud and water somewhere and it sat and then dried off or was wet and muddy and can't make contact.

What about push starting it?

nope theres no sounds at all.

i looked in the control box and there was no mud or water anywhere. i know theres lots of other places for water to go but where should i look and if water did get to it what should i do?

The best way is with a multi-meter. If you know how to read OHMS, you're set.

In most cases, the "kill switch" grounds out the run circuit, preventing the bike from running. It is normally open, when you move the switch, it "closes"(makes ground contact) and kills the bike.
If there is any poop between the switch contacts, it could cause a false ground, essentially closing the switch.
If you have a factory clutch, the wires to it, plug (or press) into the bottom of the clutch perch. It's a KIXON switch. It should be normally open(IIRC), when you squeeze the clutch, it closes, allowing the ignition circuit to power up. You SHOULD be able to hear it click, when you squeeze the clutch.
