** Yamaha Warrior Sand Dune Racer Project "Complete Restore" **

picked up a 1989 Yamaha Warrior Last week. and going to make her into a Sand Dune Racer. But also want to use it for Trail Rides
　
Pulled her apart and the Oil Pump on the motor Nuked the Bottom End. (have youtube video of the pump)

Send the wiseco crank back and get a hot rods

Cam and p&p that sucker good choice on timing chain btw

Imo you won't be building enough power to need to strech the frame its self but a +4 swinger makes them look sick

i know lots of guys dont like the wiseco cranks , but that all i use and never had one come a part yet.

maybe ill keep the Frame asis hard to say.

I had and sadly still do have one in mine first one made 6 months and wiped out the head valves and all 560 bones later and 3 months of arguing with wiseco got a new replace ment crank and no finacial support for the head work (granted 300 was poring but the rest was madetory got the cam and valves and springs still don't trust the crank if it goes again its going hot rods

well wiseco has to be better then the stock OEM stuff. you must of got a blem or factory defective one. me And my old work used nothing but Wiseco cranks and never had one let go like that.

Wiseco did have some quality control issues with their cranks year ago. but from what i see and read there all good now.

welcome but i think youd be surprised the quad probably wont put out much power to need frame mods. if your looking to do a drag racer, the 400 446 or 460 kit is the only way to go

the guy i am building this quad for , it will be his first quad and i will change the motor after if he wants.

i am going to keep the Frame the way it is for now.


i have a polaris predator 500 witch i am going to do some mods to next. that will be for me to drive

man.. i spent close to $15.00 bucks there cleaning it!
+ i had to wash my truck.

Good Thing it was a SS filter. or it would of let go all the way.

this is all i did today.
Cleaned up the top end parts , parts washer kicked the bucket . So I'll have to get warranty on it.
I am thinking I am going to paint the motor black and paint the fins on the motor lime green dont know yet.

WELL!!!

i got my motor Right apart today.


Bad news.... my transmission is Bad. 2 Gears are in bad shape. (first maybe 1mm of tips missing) well thats what blew the motor up!!!

blew out the oil pump then the rod blew!
