Z400 carb adjustments

Ok I'm putting on an z400 carb and i'm going to use an Uni filter straight off the carb... It's a 3" x4" long filter. Question is where I need to start the jetting??? I now have next to nothing on air flow restrection, even though the filter is small than stock..
Do I start at what my jetting is now and check an adjust??? I'm looking at a starting point..
