to start this off the bike is not mine. the guy brought it to me for a simple tune up. he took it to the car wash before he brought it to me and once here complained of a no start issue. pulled the seat and found the cdi was smoking and very hot. so disconnected battery and ordered a caltric cdi unit. replaced cdi and still no start so started diagnosing have no spark. replaced stator with caltric. i have no power to the coil. all fuses are good. checked park brake switch neutral switch. have power to cdi. ohmed out wire from cdi to coil it is good. cleaned all connectors. found no burnt wires. anyone have any other input i really need to get his done and out so i can finish my 400ex build.

Your diagnostic process seems good, however, those caltric parts you are buying are junk imo (they work for some people). You would not be the first person to receive a brand new stator from caltric that doesn't work. I would ohm the stator, and then also check the CDI by getting another running warrior and plugging in your new CDI to it, see if it runs.

I wish I could find another warrior to try. I wanna bet on the cdi bad out of box. I bought all new caltric electronics for my 400 with no problems. So hoping I would have no problems with this.

Get on the Facebook page and let everyone know where you are at and if you can test a CDI on their bike, there has to be someone relatively close to you that has the year you need.

Ill give it a shot. May contact caltric but have heard bad things about there customer service
