Hello everyone I thought it might be better to post all my questions and progress into one thread instead of posting 10 different ones, so here we are. This warrior is just to fix & rip around for a bit and then sell to get enough $ for either a real build or a 400 ex

My first question , so I was really confused on this one i'm not sure if the starter one way bearing is bad or I'm doing something wrong i torqued down everything to spec and it still turned over both ways so I took everything apart to see what I did wrong and this time I noticed that when I don't put the gear on the flywheel it spins both ways and when I do it spends one way does anybody have any idea what could be wrong? and also how do I take the hubs off they seem to be stuck on a bit

I guess this is also like a before pic

I got no idea why it still cranks both ways after I torqued it down then, at the one minute mark when I put the flywheel on is it also supposed to spin then?

Do you know how to take the hubs off?
Thanks

The hubs is an easy answer, the special trick is violence. You already got the pin and nut off, the only thing holding it on now is rust.
Big hammer and some 80's thrash metal usually does the trick. Anything where the lead guitarist had a coke addiction really

Thanks, maybe my engine still cranks both ways because I think I'm missing a couple of washers and I'm not torquing it down all the way?

The motor should rotate fine in either direction... the one way bearing only keeps the starter gear from engaging both directions. You can test pretty easy by putting all that back together, and with the starter out of its hole use your finger to turn the gear, it'll free spin one way and engage the other.
If your starter spins but the motor doesn't turn over you've installed the bearing backwards
