1997 warrior no spark

i bought a 96 warrior about a month ago and got a free 97 parts warrior for free with it. The guy i bought it from said that it ran when he bought it but lost spark so he just used it for parts for the 96. I know their could be alot of reasons it lost spark but can yall help me on how to get spark. also i know no history of the quad but it was bored not sure how much over

I'm having the same issue with my 01 I found my stator to be bad . Ricky stator sells them for 150.00

Stator is usually a prime suspect, but I would check the other cheaper things first.
