This vid shows how to get it off. You don't necessarily need to remove the side linkage. It's up to you. I have never removed it. Anyway, then see what groove the clip is in. Stock is third from the top. You may need to move the clip. The needle controls mixture from approx. 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. Clip up drops needle leaning it out. Clip down raises needle making it richer. Have fun.

I bet you are one tooth off on cam timing. It's easy to do. I done this once and it ran about the same way as you describe.

Ive tried advancing and retarding it a tooth one way it was hard to start and rann like crap the other way it ran even worse, then i tried going on the very bottom mark on the needle and then it ran too rich i just cant win with this POS

Try the clip on the 3rd groove from the top. BTW. Have you checked your compression?

I did its still too lean and no i havent checked compression, but it has a new piston and rings, can you send me a pic of the park break wires please?

I know you just rebuilt it but maybe your valves aren't sealing. Sorry, I don't have a pic of those wires and I would have to take apart my machine to get one. You need to make sure your cylinder is building pressure or it won't matter what the fuel mixture is.

I got a 1999 yamaha warrior fresh rebuild new cam valve and poston, the problem is ever since the rebuild anything past 1/4 throttle it falls on its face and backfires out the exhaust and rarely out the carb, ive tried new coil, new pick up coil new CID, tried the clutch and park brake switch, has bigger jets, its been cleaned several times and i dont know what to do please help.

If it's "backfiring" out the exhaust, my guess is your valves aren't seating.

Should be fine running that cam with stock springs.
Did you check the timing for good measure?
