First i well tell you what iv got and what iv done. I got this warrior about six week's ago the guy said it had been just bored 40 over and i seen that it had a new starter, cdi box and solenoid and coil. And i got it without hearing it start because the one way bearing was bad so i got a new one and put it on the old one was bad. And i could see it had a new head gasket and jug gasket. Now hear is were I'm at it wont start it has spark and it is a strong spark compression is at 145 psi iv reset the the valves to and made sure the timing is set and cleaned the carb still no start. So i tested the stator it was in spec but i got a new one and still no start. Now it well hit if i hold my had over the carb for a few seconds and then take it of but if i pull the chock out or hit it with a little starting fluid it hits real hard. And iv checked the carb boot for cracks nothing. Man iv checked everthing iv been working on atc and atv for some time and iv never been down this road thanks for looking and any help would be nice

when you hold you hand over the back of the carb, it dump gas into you hand? Like a significant amount? Parking brake still on it?

I'm leaning towards a fuel delivery issue.

Oh, and Welcome to the site!

sounds like the last guy didn't know what was wrong and just started replacing stuff. I think it is a fuel issue also. Do you know someone with a warrior? Maybe swap carbs to narrow it down

Yes it does get my hand wet when i put my hand over the end of carb. And i just took the carb off and cleaned it again. And thanks for the quick reply this is by far the best forum iv found for warrior

And yes the parking brake is still on it but iv tried unplugging the one and plugging the other into itself.

Put a new plug in it.
See if it will bump start. Don't need to push it too far.
If no start, might be a potential cam timing issue.

OK i was thinking the same thing iv put new gas in it and i just came in from the shop from checking the spark with a tester And it was .400 the book said anything over .24 is good and it has a bright blue spark

Iv just got done cleaning the carb again and haven't put it back on yet... The inside of this carb is clean i could eat out of it. But i thing the have put a older carb on it

I think they put a 1987 carb on this 2001 bike im about 99% sure by the book. and it only has a needle jet i think by the book

No i said it wrong i took all the jets out of the bottom of the carb but if you take the top off one of them has some kind of jet in there but the 87 doesn't have one just by the book but books can be wrong

If you take the top off the carb there is the needle and slide. The needle controls 1/4 to 3/4 thottle

OK i put the carb back on same thing and i can see fuel and i can put a little in the spark plug hole same thing. OK and it is spiting a little fuel smoke out the air intake when i pull the choke out. Now i had that happen once on a Honda and the cam had bad wear on it just a thought

One more thing when i take the timing gear off of the came the cam falls back about a 1/4 turn is that the when iv got it at top dead center is that the norm

i imagine the cam would have some play left or right when the chain isnt on just because the lobes arent touching anything, i could be wrong though

Thanks everone iv took the head and jug off just to make sure and did'nt find anything. So iv orderd a carb kit and flywheel and i well go from there.
