i actually heard of someone putting huge valves and crazy porting in a warrior head and getting huge flow numbers but i didnt see anything to back it up or to see how useful it was
yep mine will be with the je now, actually looks like well have the exact same setup. so its a 36mm carb correct
hmmm, i guess i can go with that..
it would just make more sense to run something like a 39mm like they do on a 450 but thats just me. it must have about peak flow characteristics
ya he was on the site like a year ago? claimed +2 intake valves and a +1 exhaust valve. id like to try that on mine but im a chicken and to nervous to screw up the port work on it
450's have 4 to 5 valves so there going to flow more air and also have high velocity then a single valve setup. Also just look at the valve train on say the yzf450r. Dual cams, buckets, no rockers. It really is like comparing like a f1 car to a regular old 350 engine.
but its the same cc's turning similar rpm's? right? for good performance gains wouldn't it help to have a bigger carb?
im still wrapping my head around this idea of it needing a smaller carb but it has the same displacement
megacycle 252x1 with fst porting and +1 intake valve. im using a cometic gasket set. its all stuff that i got when i bought the 446You are correct.
What cam you going to run?
In my opinion I would run a .005" copper base gasket and est 85mm custom head gasket from cometic. Make sure and ask for the thinnest gasket in est they make. That should get you close to the correct deck height.
You will have to get an adjustable cam sprocket and advance the cam timing like 7.5 degrees to get you back to stock.
I would also make sure the head and cylinder mating surfaces are in good condition. I would cut .010-.020" off the head get some more quench area.
Have the head ported at fourstoketech.

ya thats why i went with the 10.5 85mm je. i was worried the 12-1 would still be a bit too much. im gonna try and advance the timing a bit. also what do you think about that flywheel key
i think i have an adjustable cam gear, you recommend 5 degree of advance maybe
yep the problem i have is i already have a cometic gasket set, should i just use the stuff in a tube instead like weston
Can you measure the gasket thickness?
You can, just make very sure the head sits square on the cases otherwise you have some problems.
With calipers? Ill check tonight
Dude your scaring me out of this cam
