Right behind you!
K im looking to get a pro designs pro flow air filter. Im looking at eather the K&N with an outwear that clamps on to the box. Or a uni foam filter with a foam wrap that also clamps to the box.

Im into some what wet and muddy conditions some times but most of the time it is mostly dry, always mud somewhere not much though.

When i get this im going to take the air box off and i was wondering if the uni foam w/ the foam wrap will be good with wet conditions. I know that the outwear on the K&N is water resistant. But idk what the foam wrap does.

Is the foam wrap water proof or what does it do becuase it just looks like a yellow foam filter with red foam filter on top of the yellow one in pictures?

I have a dual stage UNI filter with no airbox at all and it seems to resist mud and water. But that was only a bit of water during light rain.

I have a clamp on K&N with outerwears and no airbox lid and it does get dirty really quick in some extreme wet conditions, like bajaing through some mud holes. but usually in just kinda wet stuff it stays pretty clean, but thats with an airbox without a lid so it does have some protection.

Ive got the clamp on filter setup (GYT-r) and if I dont use the lid and ride thru mud or water I have to clean the filter after every ride. I put the lid back on after cutting some holes in it and my filter stays clean much longer. I would never run an exposed filter, it wont give you better airflow if its always dirty.

Use a dual stage foam filter and put an outerwears airbox cover to keep most mud and water off of the filter element. That's what I did,and it works great.

That would be the ultimate setup.

Thanks everyone from what ive herd im going to get a the uni foam one and do some kind of mod to the box but im not sure yet.

why is it everytime you come on to the board my karma goes down?
I have nothing to do with that, i dont mess with anyones karma because i personaly think its pointless. And not that i care but mine gos down ever time i get on here and i dont even say anything stupid or argue with anyone anymore. So your not alown.

You get any of these filters wet you're done. All the dirt will turn to mud and flow right past the filter and go straight into the engine. I would put an outerwears in place of the lid and make sure and keep the filter lightly oiled. bbbthreat said it...

K&N also makes something called the "powerlid" its made out of the same material as their filters but adds more airflow while still filtering. Not sure how they perform and there a bit pricey but it might be something worth looking into.

Yeah i was looking at that k&N outerwear cover for the lid. Its not that bad or a price its only $18. Im gonig to get one. O i just orderd my bumper too tonight off ebay(prm summit), im getting my clutch and my filter tomarrow when i have some more time.
