Well i actually hAve a custom engine skid on it now. I made it out of 1/4 diamond plate aluminum. theres nothing gonna hurt that haha, it cvers the entire bottom of the motor. but it'd be nice to have the full one so it will slide over the rocks instead of getting hung up by the frame

I think this is the highest view thread on this whole site. Hahah

Long as your engine is protected you should be good. I sold beastly my plastic skid a while back, It primarily just covers the engine area.

lol i was thinking the same.

Yeah i had it on my 87 and it worked awesome. I should tip it up on its tail and get a pic of it for ya.

all those lights might be hard on your stator

Wll i wired them up so the stockers come on at low and the trail techs come on at high.

Beastly i got the plate from dads work. it was simple. Hardest part was to figure out how to get the holes to line up.

did you get the lower stem bearing changed yet? might make a good tutorial?

Ahh good idea. Im trying to trade kyler for his lonestar stem for them ohlins shocks. If the deal doesnt go down im ordering a new lonestar stem and once i get it ill replace the bearing and seal and do some sort of tutorial

Little update. Im working on a tutorial for changing the lower steering stem bearing. I also will post up some pics of what i did to make longer shocks fit in the warrior frame and a arms. Stay tuned.:atv:

The Fox Floats i bought are actually for a long travel type a arms for a banshee, so they are 16 inches long instead of the stock warriors 14 3/4 inch shocks. I thought about cutting up the lower a arms and weld the shock mounts out farther more. Instead while i was replacing the stem bearing I thought of an idea. I cut off some of the upper shock mount and redrilled 2 mounting holes so the shocks will be higher on the frame. It actually lowered the quad a full 1 1/4 inch! Before i did this the shocks had so much droop the heim joints were bottoming out and that can result to very bad news. Now the Floats extend there full stroke and the heim joints dont bottom out anymore. My a arms can even be drilled down lower to help this even more but im gonna try this out and see how the droop is. Heres some pics. Now the older style yfz shocks should fit with out forcing them in:iagree:
