bumper?

i was wondering how hard it would be to fad/fit a bumper that wont fit your year? like this one....

I put a z400 bumper on my 88 it lines up on the top but is about a inch from lining up on the bottom. Z400 bumper fits the 89 and later bikes perfect.

Alright i was wondering because this bumper is for warriors but it says it fits 89-04 and i got a first gen so i was thinkin arent they all almost the same? so shouldnt this bumber fit easy

87 and 88 have different mounts, it wont fit right, but if can weld you can make it fot

I have a 2000 and got a first gen bumper for mine. I had to just bend the arms a little to get it to fit, no welding. Just go slow, measure, and test fit constantly.
