again... i'll stick to my carburetor engines :). yotas are the shiznit up to the 22re new 4 bangers suck and all v6 suck! i wouldn't trade my 20r for a chevy 302. i can pull my motor by unhooking 3 wires and taking 6 bolts out. newer crap has more wiring than motor... i just hate it

Hey I wont argue with ya. I hate having to go throught all the electronic diagnostic steps. I miss just having to do the basics. Just recently I got finished with a mechanical resto on a 70 impala, with a zz4 350 that the customer purchased. Man was that easy and fun to work on. But, with these new cars, you have to go through the electrical checklist(almost every time) before you do anything mechanical anymore. I can give a perfect example of a case we had earlier in the year, but that's a 2-3 paragraph post.

Yes yes. Very good engine and set uo. Had an 89 gmc sierra 2500 4x4, with 350 tbi and 700r4. That truck was indestructable. I beat the **** out of it over the years. We bought it with 63k on it, and sold it with over 200k. And it's still on the road today with over 300k on it, and other than the usuall maintinance items, the engine has never been apart! I've never had andy issues with tbi. Tough, and always worked. I love my 8.1 with allison 1000, though. Power out the ass.
