Anyone got any good products that will make the engine shine or at least be less dirty. I am willing to pay(not a lot) to get that off the showroom flow look of my engine.

I use tire and wheel cleaner... as most are safe for aluminum and good and removing caked on stuff and a scrub brush. Other than that simple green is good. To make it shine i know black magic has some 2 in one engine cleaner and shine. But i have never had any luck with the engine cleaners.

i use simple green and my motor looks excellent, i also use it on the motor of my truck after 4-wheelin it and it lokks great too

What do you do? water and scrub, with all the elbow grease or gthrow the gallon on and spray off? What about a presure washer? just to the block/case and not carb area.

i spray it with water, spray on simple green, use an old tooth brush on the hard areas, then spray off i only use like a little bit of straight concentrate on mine, a gallon lasts a few rides

I will try simple green thanks, also has anyone heard of any other good ones? Mine is dirty and it wont come off with just scrubbing and water. I need something that will make it look almost new with some scrubing action.

Purple Power, Simple Green, Tire and Wheel Cleaner any of those work great. I use about a 25% tire and wheel cleaner with 75% of Purple power with no scrubbing. Works good enough for me but It won't SHINE the engine up.

Thats the thing I am looking to do, get as close to possible the engine looking like it came off the showroom floor.

Go to autozone & pick up some Eagle One Etching Mag Cleaner ... take a look @ this link:

I can verify that it works as good as this guy claims .. but let me forewarn you by saying that don't put this on anything that you don't want the paint taken off of. Also, if left on your skin for too long it will begin to irritate it!
