Deadlast I agree any vibration should be fixed for sure....

Is the motor actually moving? Or is it just making a noise that sounds like a vibration?

Enen if the main jet is too rich we can't address that unroll the low and mid are straightened out...

It could also be the typical "intake is cracked" problem... If you can spary som ether on the rubber between the carb and the motor do that and let us know ihow the motor reacts... It shouldn't do anything... But if there in a air leak there it will most likely rev up... Be careful with ether or carb cleaner around the hot motor... Don't blow yourself up... Just a little should do the trick

Also check to make sure theres no air leaks at the intake or the air box to carb transition.

Sorry guys had to go get groceries lol The screw on the throttle housing side of carb is what I adjusted. It sits on the left, and has a big spring over it. I have a K&N air filter HFM and powerbomb, but obviously main jet does not affect idle. Engine is mounted very sturdy, must just be making a vibration noise. The lights do shake a little but I guessnot horrible, may just be a vibration noise. What is the idle adjustment screw?? I adjusted the one that sits on the bottum below where the throttle cable enters the carb. I will adjust another screw if that was wrong!!! I don't know if it glows, but pretty damb quick the exhaust pipe gets hot as fu*k. I accidently touched it to check connection and yikes. This was after like 2 minutes of running at idle. Like I said did I adjust the right screw, or did i adjust air fuel screw???

Your Idle screw is on the left and its BIG , it has grooves to grip it on the outside or it can use a philips head screwdriver . It sets up and down and has a spring around the outside . Youll notice a rpm change real quick when you turn it

Thats the screw I adjusted. The one with the grips on it, and the spring. It was also able to me moved by a phillips. I losened this a lot to make it run better. Way more than the 2 1/2 turns I read somewhere. Does this make it idle leaner or richer?? What other exterior adjusting can you do??? Is there another screw as someone said the idle adjustment is different then the mixture screw. This was a problem from the day I got it, so it has nothing to do with my recent adjustment to the carb. Thanks for all the help!!!

No, yeash man. Download the Free Manuel. Look at the carb section. the IDLE screw only adjusts the IDLE. the 2 1/2 turns out that you have read about is regarding the air/fuel mixture screw, which can only be changed by a flathead screw driver.

Thats what I was thinking. I will continue to play with the idle screw. I did not change the air mixture screw then. Not sure why she runs like she does, but thanks for clearing up my confussion of screws. I can't wait for my rotor so I can test my newly re-jetted carb!!!

I think i will look into this, as it makes sense. Seems to me like something is letting in air. I will check all arears sometime tomorrow!!!

i hate to brag... but once again i was right with my diagnosis (and you guys wehre immediately jumping to jetting and this thing and the other thing).... back that idle screw out so the motor freakin chills out! hahaha... once you do that then you can fiddle with the brass mixture screw... it is real hard to get at in the center of what it called the "venturi" of the carb... underneath on the front... i some times use one of those bits for multi bit screw driver... seems to be about the only thing that can get in there easily....

turn it in until it seats LIGHTLY and then turn it 2 1/2 turns back out.... you should be pretty close from there... let us know...

PS... if your idle is all screwed up now you might have a hardtime starting it.... give it a couple turns in and try to start it... it might be revvin like a bastard when it fires... just start backing the screw back out until it settles down
