That second pic is a comp release. The first gens had them cuz of the pull start.

Idk. It was in with all the small parts to the motor in a box. I hate when people take stuff apart and don't label it.

Motor is just about together.

I have to order a new timing chain tensioner bolt. Spec called out to torque to 29lbs and it snapped. I'm guessing previous owner tightened the hell out if it. Was a B to get loose.

Which bolt? The 12mm head bolt that goes in the center of the tensioner? They, under no circumstances, will NOT handle what Yamaha recommends. Period! Only bolts I EVER torque to spec are the head bolts, cam bolt, crank bolt, clutch nut, balance shaft nut, and balance shaft + oil pump drive gear nut. All other fasteners are M6 in diameter, and are easily felt when tightening.

Yeah the 12mm. I just bought the whole tensioner set off eBay for $9. But I've gotta take head back off and get another guide anyways. Was hoping to fire her up this weekend. Oh well
