Well said Pat, I agree. In highschool I did what I could to get by just to play sports 2.0 GPA. Never went to college but have a damn good job but a hard back breaking job that pays good and this day in age is something hard to find, I worked in the coalmines from age 19 to 22 got hurt and got hooked on drugs because of the injury. If I could do it over I would have strived more for a better education and changed a lot of things, But overall I am happy where I am now in life just somedays I wish I had more free time and spent more time chasing after my dreams. But its best said in American Beauty its never to late to get it back.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, I think I graduated Highschool with either a 3.2 or 3.4 GPA. Don't quite remember which. I've worked since I was about 15, doing whatever jobs my dad had for me to do, or doing what people we knew needed help with. Made some decent money now that I look back on it, lol. I'm a mechanic, I like what I do, but, if I were to win the lottery I'd be very happy on a ranch just running it. Unfortunitly there isn't much else that interests me in today's work force. We have a family run business, I make good money, have a fantastic girlfriend... Life is actually really good at the moment.

Damn I am the old man of the forum I guess. I have a daughter older than some of you guys. Pat, the advice you gave above is some of the best I have heard from a man your age. You are wise beyond your years. Beast, there is always time to get back to doing what you enjoy, I am proof of that. I spent 13 years as a raging alcoholic and will be celebrating 10 years sober in July. I may have sold my war whore, which I affectionately named the dirty little *******, but I still enjoy keeping up with the builds on here. Be safe fellas.

Jeff when you said Underground MMA all I could think about was Never back down and Fight club, I never got real big into MMA as a hobby but I respect all that do it. I did however think I was gonna become Mr Olympia lol I replaced the drugs with weightlifting and this April 17th I will be 3 years Sober no drink, no opiates, nothing. NA and AA are a huge part of my life. Lloyd and Frit Its made my day seeing others talk about Recovery/Sobriety. Congratulations to the both of you guys, One day at a time'' Really does work.

Yea it was great I kicked box for 15 years and started mma when I was in the military and stopped 6 years ago do to my daughters and my little brother passing in a motorcycle accident so I don't miss no family time now I missed a lot while I trained as u know its a busy life doing mma. I hear ya tim I know the feeling be sober to I had a drinking problem and I stopped 15 years ago and haven't went back to it although I will have a beer once in awhile but the demons are in my past lol. Congrats to all that went sober!

Good for you guys! I suppose I can join in your little group as well. I haven't smoked pot since last November. I don't consider pot a drug at all. Nor did I smoke it all the time. Maybe 3 times a month, usually to shut my brain down so I could actually sleep. Just realized one day that I really didn't have to have it, and just have no desire to do it anymore. I also stopped because I just didn't want that to get between my girl and I. I highly doubt it would have, since I smoked so infrequently. But, still, my gal is far more important then any herb.

Join right in lol. I agree pot isn't that bad alcohol pain killers and hard core drugs are worse pots on the bottom. My older brothers a wake and bake lol but u would never know. And congrats a good women will always make good changes in your life!!

I really enjoyed this peek beyond the profile info. It's nice to see what you guys are up to and what some of us have had to deal with in our private lives. For a long time I didn't think a person could have fun with being trashed in one form or another. Happy to say that I have had more fun than ever after pulling my head outta my ass. And yes Lloyd, we are never too old to go fast, it's just that it takes a little longer to recover from those unexpected sudden stops than it used to.

Well since everyone else opened up I'm only 17 and I'm pretty weird prolly got a screw loose lol. I love football prolly going to Mizzou. I love wrestling as well and did a season of MMA last year. I have been in a relashonship with the same girl since I was 13 (she's fine) and plan on getting married after high school. I drink a little but in my past experience I have found I don't need alchohal to do stupid dumb things lol, and I love to ride haven't been at it that long but my dad is the same way he had to get rid of his because he rode it till it fell appart literally and never had the money to get another. But he is coming around and now wants a 660. So that's what ya need to know about me in a nutshell!

My girlfriends family is terrible lol but like I said 4 years already so I will get over it she doesn't have a dad and her mom and most of her brothers and sisters are just bluuuuhhh. But I love her not her family lol she's my woman
