So I wanted to get niche parts for a head rebuild and cams and rocker arms but I read the old forums on here and heard people had problems with installing cams and rocker arms, Is it really that much worse than OEM? in that case are companies like weiseco and hot cams the same as OEM? Is the head better off not touched or should I still replace the valves and springs? thanks.

Only oem for valves and rockers. Wiseco makes great pistons and hotcams are an okay replacement performance cam.

Yeah unless you got a bent valve or are doing some kind of race engine build I'd just clean and lap the oem ones and call it a day
