Everyones guesses are right around the same speed so you're all probably pretty close. How fast will an all stock brand new 2006 Raptor 350 and Honda 400ex will hit. j/w

About 63-64 for the raptor, maybe 67 for the 400ex.

usdsk8er, my top speed is around 70-71. We don't have the same mods, but we're probably still pushing out around the same hp. I'd say you'd be right around 70 with some tall gearing.

It will probobly do about 73-75.. My warrior before i changed the gears did 73, but now i have it geared down to about 64 mph, Such acceleration i love it

your warrior doing 73?? you using the metric system?!?!

no my warrior has a ton of engine mods, I dont even know half of them its very very fast. My friend has a stock predator and i beat him all the way around except top speed after he catches up for like 25 seconds after im topped out.

well after reading your screen name, are you sure its a warriro 350 and not a banshee 350. ;)

you read my mind

lol. sounds about right. top speed for a stock banshee is 73mph. also, the 400ex only does 64 stock. (only 3mph more than the warrior!) heres a site that has speeds for popular quads through each gear, and then final top speed. http://4wheeldrive.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=4wheeldrive&zu=http://www.atvriders.net/atvtopspeeds.htm
yamarider, what size tires do you have front and rear? my rears are 22" and the fronts are 23". i got up to 68 mph today. if you see my sig, ive got a good amount done to the motor except for the flat slide or edelbrock carb and gearing (i could possibly put a higher compression piston and hotter cam in it, but its a trail bike, not a race bike!), so paintballbanshee, i dont think your warrior did 73 without really tall gearing or nitrous or something. if you have proof, then post it, but i dont think many people will believe that. also, if your warrior did do 73mph, how did you gear it down to 64mph?!?! with all of your claimed engine mods, you would have to really **** up your gearing to only get 3mph over stock. sorry to bust you balls man, but i just dont see it happening!

i had the gearing up to 73 and i geared it down, and when i was doing 73 it had like no accel.. Now that i have stock gearing back in (or i think w.e my dad did) its down to stock top speed and a lot of acceleration. Sorry i didn't mean to start an argument i shouldn't even talk though i dont know half the stuff that goes on with my warrior my dadd does.

Including top speed......

You always hear people saying my bike/atv goes "X" m.p.h. because I had my friend on his "insert name here" follow me. The majority of car and motorcycle's speedometer speed will be a little faster than the actual speed. Manufacturers do this on purpose for liability reasons.

My radar gun shows both target speed and patrol speed, (or you can radar stationary). So I have been able to check a lot of different vehicles and their speedo's and you would be surprised how much most speedometers are off when you get up to the 65-70 mph range.

righty-o. well, find out what all you have done on the warrior and let us know (or put it in your sig). since mine did 68mph with the mods i have, if i changed the gearing a little 73 might not be impossible. you just cant overcome your gearing, whether you have tons of mods or not. beefing up the motor will only get you to your top speed faster. im going to invest in some new sprockets soon. anyone got suggestions on brands? thinking renthal.

we werent trying to start an arguement with ya. you just dont hear many warriors doing 73, but if you had tall gears, i guess it could be done, but it would take about 3 days and a 52 mile stretch to get it up to top speed. j/k

[quote:ag9bjzod]im thinkin 65

That was a joke, right? They go faster than that completely stock! Something would have to be terribly wrong to lose speed from adding performance mods.[/quote:ag9bjzod] leave the kid alone hes just a young porker..... ::)

I don't think there's much of a difference between different brands of sprockets. I use JT sprockets and don't have any complaints they seem to be holding up great. My cousin uses sunstars and they seem fine too. I don't see the point in spending the extra money on a renthal when a cheaper one gets the job done just as good.

well, how much can you get JT and Sunstar front sprockets for? less than $20? b/c i can get a renthal front sprocket from my local shop for $20. not sure about the rear, but i wanna change that one anyway. ill keep the same size rear, but im just tired of the ugly, dirty looking rear sprocket and dont really feel like taking it off and cleaning it. i think i can get the renthal rear for about $65-70. what you all think?

I have a JT front sprocket that I got on ebay for about $10 shipped, and I think my sunstar front sprocket was about $13 at the local shop. I can't remember what I paid for the rear sprocket.

ok. ill check those out too. did you save any weight (actually, rotational mass) with the JT or Sunstar sprockets over stock?

All steel sprockets are going to weigh about the same, no matter what brand it is. Aluminum sprockets will cut down your rotational mass a little, but it wouldn't be noticable, and you'd be lucky to get 15 hours of riding out of an aluminum front sprocket, compared to 40-80 hours of riding on a steel one.

I think my rear sprocket was only about $25, because at the local dealer I spent $85 on an x-ring chain, and a front and rear sprocket.

okay. well i dont want one that will tear up quickly. ill check some different companies out. thanks
