absolutely, any metal that was cast was not designed to bend, period. A slightly bent frame or A-arm is one thing, cast metal is another.
I guess you need to picture in your head what would happen if it snapped at the most inconvenient point of a hill climb furthest from the parking lot. A $15 part decision - not even a copay at the doctors office (lol)
