ok so ive got mine running but it is way lean but it revs like a 450 and i got to thinking and im really thinking about boring my carb to a 39.5mm what do yall think?

Should work good. But it'll be hard to bore the enitre thing the same size and the slide still work right. Also dont get the outlet so thin, cause its aluminum and it will crack.

i must wait till tuesday because thats when the yami shop opens so i can get bigger jets:loco: i went from a 210 main to a 270 (6 sizes up) and its still running lean so i will get jets 280-330 to tune more on it but i was thinking about boring it just to see how far i can push a warrior motor

Not to go shitting on your parade here but really there are much better carbs out there to be messing around with a round slide.

I don't think you've ridin a 450 if you say your warrior rev's like one. That is very over the top. Those things have like 40-50hp and rev to 10k stock.

I ride a KFX450R piped and tuned so yes i know how a 450 revs, thank you.

it will pull and rev just as quick with 14/40 gearing as my kfx will till i hit 6th then it plains out but it is very lean so i haven't been riding it much its a bit of a side project but i invite you to come down here and try it for yourself! i will even let you ride my kfx if it makes you feel better about it

PS i know my stuff and i can easly say with the setup i currently have this will beat any stock 450 except a ktm around a track easly

Duner i know how yours runs, cause mine is just about identical to yours. BUT I huge difference is the warrior internals are to heavy to compare to a 450. Not to mention the head design is worthless to making power. Dont get me wrong the warrior is great, but for performance the 450's and big bore quads are king.

couldnt have said my words better although the head isnt 100% worthless them raptor 250s are putting down some serous power and thats the same head design. but yes the internals just take longer to get inertia

^Ok just sayin because we got some people around here that drag race and go down with jets when ones lean, and one guy had his so lean that it was closing the gap on the spark plug

If we had the aftermarket following that all of the 450 quads have we'd have better results too. I'm kinda gonna agree with Beastly on the fact that the head design is not worthless. Yes, it'd be awesome for someone in the aftermarket to develop a modern performance head but this head will do with proper portwork.

On the head thing yall are talking bout has anyone tried a tt or a xt 350 head on one of these motors because those are DOHC motors and make about 25-30HP from the factory
