No spark, is it the stator?

I think he has the coils backwards, because the pick up coil is the one that you replace when it will only start being pulled/pushed. If you do try and it dont fire, I still say you need to look at those wires if your ohming and not getting anything.

yeah i said i thought i might be backwards... im not sure i was ever positive which one was which... but either way if it push starts then you know it is a stator problem

and ive seen places that sell just the source coil but i think you asking for trouble if you replace just that

one of my white stator wires broke, they charge the battery. So my battery drained and it would only bump start. Just had a buzz when I'd hit start. I fixed the wire, charged the battery and am good to go. Thought I let you know maybe it will help

I live in a temperate rain forest. 90 miles west is the coast and dunes, 90 miles east is the high dessert. Snow is about 30 miles away. Only problem is all the rain in the winter.

we haven't had rain in over a 2 months the lake and kickapoo creek are down by 3ft another foot and you can ride atvs all over the lake bottom in the sand its a ton of fun got to do it 3 years ago and can't wait till next time

There is also a search feature, and if you look for it we have a service manual that tells you how to check your stator.

yeah 3rd or 4th is better. Did you ever pull the stator cover off and see if all the wires are still good and not broke anywhere?
