3/4 of the way out i beleive and when i roll it around to tdc the top cam chain mark is almost half a like past the mark..

that ticking sounds like the rockers slapping on the cam lobes I would set the lash a little tighter like .004-.006
could also be the cam chain did you pull out the 12mm tensioner bolt and stick a screw driver in and push to make it click 1 or 2 clicks out to tighten the chain a hair more?

I say set the valve lash a stinge tighter other than that it sounds healthy just might have to do some more fine tuning with the carb to get it perfect

Ok,,,, and with it being an 88 with the original motor just the topend rebuilt i gess some chingy noises are expected..well it hasent flooded out on me again yet so maybe i did something wright..PS alot of the noises that you guys hear in the vid is the exhaust slip joint leaking cant seem to get it to stop,.

get some header wrap to seal it up.
as for the ticking these warriors are notorious for valve noise even when they were brand new all you can do is get them a little quieter

I had the same probelm with the carb flooding after rebuild. Gas was leaking bad out of the overflow line but i just tapped the carb a few times with a screwdriver and i think it got the needle valve to seat itself. After that no problems at all.

Got my new accelerator pump kit will probly install it this weekend but im going to need a jet kit cuz i got a Big Gun exhaust so might wait till i get it..
