01 Warrior - I've seen the pdf service manual and says to loosen the locknut and turn the bolt in, then a quarter turn out.

That's great. Has anyone seen the bolt sieze up. I can turn it and don't want to force it to much, but it doesn't want to turn.

Suggestions would be very helpful.

pb blaster from autozone breaks loose all kinds of stuck bolts.

Liquid Wrench works wonders. Or just get rid of the parking brake altogether. I had nothing but problems with mine, and was a lot better when I got a block off kit for it. Just my $.02.

I had to adjust mine every few rides at first, then every other ride, then every ride, then twice a day......

Finally said screw it when I wouldn't trust it enough to use it anyway and got a block off kit.

Sounds like the parking brake is more of a pain than anything else. Right now it doesn't do Sh**T.
I'll tell my kids to make sure they leave it in gear.
I'll search for a "block off kit" on the site here, but if anyone has more information, by all means, save me some time and post something.

Yeah, just save yourself the trouble and frustration, and completely remove the parking brake setup. All you will need is the parking brake blockoff plate, which is a part you can pick up at almost any dealer, powersports shop, or online store for around 10 bucks. It just bolts on your caliper in place of the parking brake assembly to keep water and dirt out. When you remove the parking brake cable from the clutch perch you can also unplug the parking brake sensor switch from the wiring harness. There are 2 sensors on the clutch perch that look the same, the one that connects to the wiring harness under the hood with a single plastic connector is the one you can eliminate.

Thanks, I ordered the Tusk Block off.

kreed5821, I'll have my kids help me with the tutorial. Stay Tuned.

Sounds good. Pelphrey will probably make a sticky of the tutorial so others can find it easy or link to it.
