When i hit the start button its dragging like its in a bind. Push starts fine, fires right up. I cant get the starter to crank it ,witch the starter is turning but real slow. How do you know if your one way is gone. Its alway been slow starting and sounds awful while doing so. Putt jumper cables on it did not change same sluggish go. Got a 100 champ put the battery in it fired right up. Both solenoids i had are gone i guess they burnt up. Is it wiring ,also notice that the top end of the engine at the base of it is leaking you can see like oil bubbles coming out. But i can push it off and run fine (other than some carb problems but that is in another trend)just got this thing about a month ago. Do you think the oil leak will make a power loss. Fixing to get a torque wrench so i can adjust my values and install my clutch. I don't think any thing has been done to it as far as any adjustments. If you read anything i might be looking to far in to let me know that too. I might be worrying about the wrong things. I just want to make it run like a new one. Please help me with this and my other trends
if you need more info let me know

Sounds like you might just need to rebuild the starter. Once the brushes get worn down to a certain point only one brush makes good contact, and it'll turn the engine over very weak like it's got a dead battery. Warriors seem to go through them pretty quick. I'd throw some new brushes in the starter before I went as far as saying it's your starter clutch.

can i just buy the brushes .you think me spinning it over and over is what killed my solenoid .the trend at the top of the page said something that caught my eye. before it got this bad sometimes it would fire right up and sometimes it just would take a while for it to fire.take a while to fire meaning that the starter slowly spinning, in other words (sluggish).could it also be the stator
thanks for the info

You can get just the brushes, but i cant remember where anymore. I dont know about your solenoid, i never heard of one fail from this before. It doesnt sound like you have a low battery so your solenoid shouldnt be the cause.
