but I stripped the shift shaft, luckily I have another shift shaft on a spare timberwolf motor I got, do I need to split the cases to do this?

Nope just pull the clutch cover off and you might have to remove the clutch assembly then the shift shaft pulls right out the clutch side

o, thanks!! I was thinking if I had to split the cases I would sell it, ive rebuilt several motors but ive never done a full rebuild on a 4T, so I was never in the cases.
