Lightning audio P4 10.4's 150watt RMS and 750peak.
amp is older but it was new in the box and a steal lol. it's rockford fosgate Power 800.4.
boxes and sealed logic.
Got the truck damn muddy today! i'll post pics one day lol
EEWW bet before long you will have those subs blown, thats a low rms look at the amp see what its rms output is and don't let it go over what the subs are rated at on RMS. I always try to get subs rated at least 300 watts rms just to be safe.
I have a set now power acoustik's fubar 12's rated 800 watts rms, 1800 peak they are a comp style sub, they are big and pound hard.
lol yea thats a good deal, I had a sony explod 10 sub I bought new with in a day I had it burnt and blown to a crisp once I saw it was only 300 watts rms but had my amp bridged pushing about 600 so I learned my lesson the hard way.
i dont like sony car audio crap... idk seems like it's not as good as the name says it should be. kenwood and alpine are my favorite brands for head units and door speakers. and kicker is my favorite subs. and rockford fosgate is my favorite amps.
Sony don't seem to do good with car audio, though I have had good luck with jvc, had a head unit last over 10 years before the speaker outputs quit, so bought another jvc head unit. Heard alpine had the best the subs, but they cost alot.
i have a JVC head unit in my truck now. I got my subs, amp, and capacitor mounted today... i now have NO room behind my seat or under the drivers seat lol. they hit pretty damn good!
PICS! none have me in em because i'm driving my truck they cousin, brother, and a friend kept stopping to take pics.
OK i found a '77 2wd SHORT BED XD. $1000 running and driving! if i can get it my truck will come off the road for quite awhile! my motor, transmission, transfer case, and axles will be swapped to the short bed truck and convert it to a wolverine! . the '77 has a damn near PERFECT body on it . it will be restored to a new truck and no more mud or 4 wheelin. i'll keep EVERYTHING from my long bed truck except the frame and body... all the lights, electrical, interior, everything... this is my new project if i can get the shortbed .

blew the spark blug out of the number 2 cylinder 2 days ago in the middle of town. tapped it for a coil and the tap pulled the new threads out with it so i swapped the head in 5 hours with a bucket of tools in the ingles parking lot lol. so i have that head in the machine shop now getting 2.5mm over size swirl polished stainless valves, hardened nickel seats, full port and polish and flowed so nothing is slowing the intake or exhaust down. getting dual valve springs with cromoly retainers, bronze lined valve guides and the head shaved .040 thousands i'll be bolting a .455 lift cam in it too!
Damn that sucks! I've done a many a spark plug hole on 5.4 fords. They come in sounding like steam engines. Good thing you're running an older truck that has some room in the engine compartment, and limited electrical ********. Would have made that head swap in a parking lot more of a bitch. Btw, outta all those pics of your truck wheelin, why does it seems as though you were the one behind the camera instead of infront of it with your rig?
because i have a canon EOS 60D ($1000 camera) and i dont trust anyone else to touch it . the ones where my brother is in the back of my truck i'm sitting in it and my buddy adam is taking the pics.
Hey Wargirl, My lil bro finally tore into his engine, He's rebuilding it. Can you mkae me a list of things he should upgrade to with his rebuild? He deff wants to do a cam, and general rebuild stuff, hes gunna have to bore it as well.
i forgot in the PM i sent you. an upgraded distributor is a must! i like the D.U.I ones... they are built using 100% GM HEI distributors and chevy parts fit em! and the flat out throw the voltage to the plugs! they are alil spendy at around $389 (i believe) but totally worth it!
