Ok so this might be a little long but I've got their 1988 warrior 350 I bought, non running and needed a wiring harness for sure, so I bought one but I got it for a 1997 and it's the full harness, so I had to splice in the old stator plugs to work with my 1988 stator. Now I'm wondering if this is possible or if I completely messed it up and have to buy a new one. I can supply pictures of the wiring job. Oh and now the wheeler won't start, I get lights starter works but it has no spark. I am also thinking it might be the cdi box but I don't know and I wanted to get some more experience people to look at it. Thank you for looking

I must note that yes it probably would have been better to buy the correct harness for it but u already had this harness and was hoping I could make it work

The 88 Stator and flywheel setup won`t work with a 97 harness. There`s an extra coil on the Stator and 2 trigger points on the flywheel. It`s going to be easier to just convert it completely to the later electrical system and flywheel. Then you`ll have an easier time getting parts lot`s of 97-01 parts around not so many 88 parts since it`s a one off year electrically wise.
