Hey guys I'm looking for a stock cam or a stage 1 hot cam. If anybody has a used one is good shape I would be happy to buy it for a good price.

I would be buying an aftermarket cam if I was boring the motor/ etc, but as of now I am just looking to put it back together stock to make sure everything on the quad works. I just bought the quad a week or two ago and it was already torn apart with a broken cam. Maybe next year when I have more money and I know the rest of the quad works well, I will make this thing a little faster.

In that case Ebay is your friend man. Most of us have stock cams around but I keep mine for cores to be honest. You can prolly find a cheap S1HC on Ebay. They make ok power in the upper range where the sticker falls off but but really anything more on the bottom.

Thanks a bunch man and yea I have been searching ebay almost daily for a good deal.

In the same boat as you man, looking for a cheap stock cam just to make sure the rest of the machine runs out good. I saw a guy on ebay with some yamaha oem cams for like $70. But if you're like me, you probably don't wat to drop that much coin on something you don't know is goin to work.

What happened to your cam? I bought my quad already torn apart with a broken cam. I have pictures of mine up here

Same thing, I bought it, guy said cam was broke. I pulled cam cover off, and pin is missing for cam gear. So I pulled cam out and head off. Everything else looks ok, and I could attempt to fix the cam, but the hole that the pin goes in is pretty oblong. Looks like he did some half ass repair on it. I may still attempt it, just to see if it runs and shifts ok. If it runs out ok, I plan on getting a better than stock cam. But I paid $75 for the bike, having a hard time spending $100+ on a cam for something I don't know works.

Now that I looked at your thread, that's almost the same as mine. No big chunks outta mine like that, but like I said, hole is pretty crappy.

Yea my dad is a machinist and he going to try to fix mine because I don't want to spend the money on it either. I have $400 in my machine but it has more than that in aftermarket parts it was a good buy. Ill tell you how the fixed cam comes out.

No offense but you guys that have nearly nothing in your bikes and are bitching over spending the money to get a decent Cam are just killing me. Just buy a S1HC and be happy. You can always sell it if things don't pan out. What do you really have to lose??

Sorry I came across that way. I'm only 17 and I don't have a job right now so I just don't have money to put into this quad right now. But don't worry, one day I will build it up.
