I recently installed a full stainless exhaust on my '01 Warrior. I have it pretty close on the tune, but am not getting enough squirt. Is there a only the leak jet option for this carb, I can't seem to find a way to adjust the AP. Is there an AP cam with a different profile? This seems like the obvious way to go. Thanks for looking.

Scott ???

Kinda lost. Leak Jet? and AP cam? WHAaaa? There are two jets in the carb, a main and a pilot. Cam talk can be had but have ho idea what the AP is referring to. Also a simple exhaust upgrade and you stock cam should have no differ on how its tuned.

AP = accelerator pump

Leak jet = a jet that allows a certain amount of fuel from the accelerator pump circuit to"leak" back to the bowl.

AP cam = the cam in the side of the carb that controls the accelerator pump

that is why I got rid of that carb.. there was tunning the AP.
You can take a torch tip cleaner and basically bore out the tip of the nozzle. I played around with doing that but be careful not to go to big. You can try also a heavier spring on the plunger. I found no cams or anything. You could try modding the cam to give you more fuel sooner.

Ahhhhh. Never seen in abbreviated to AP. Never messed with the leak jet, just cleaned it, took a guitar string down it, poked it through a few times. Isn't the accel cam plastic? You might be able to solder some plastic on top of the hit tab. Easiest accel. pump. mod I know to do is take a spring outta retractable pen and swap it into place of the stock one that's in the float bowl. The stock spring is supa weak and often the accel. pump rod get caught up on the bowl gasket. The new spring outta the pen will clear that up. Hopefully some of this helps. I as well upgraded from the stock carb.

Thanks for all the help, guys. Appreciate your time. If I had the dough, I would probably go with the other carb. As it is, I'll try the spring trick. ;)
