You can get the mix with any color antifreeze. It is green, sometimes yellow, and we've come to stock a few cases because of mfgs differences. What's so special about it that makes it universal, I have know clue, but they say it does, so I use it. I also stock dexcool, the chrystler and ford antifreeze is really close to it. You are supposed to be able to mix standard green coolant with the blue honda coolant. That honda stuff looks like toilet water, lol. Idk why they have so many different coolants if they can offer ONE that can mix with ALL coolants. Stupid... I know, all factory coolants are "extended milage" coolant (150,000 miles or 5 years) , but the fact is that nearly ALL cars have their coolant changed WAY before that time frame or milage number. And here is why; first, MANY water pumps go bad before those numbers. So what happens? You're not going to reuse that coolant, no, you are going to use new coolant.

2nd: Timing belts are needed to be replaced periodically. Some 60k others around 90k, depending on mfg. You may pull the timing covers off to get to the belt, only to find the water pump begining to leak. What do you do? That's right replace it. It is also good practice to replace the water pump on certain vehicles when you do a timing belt. Example: Your cars timing belt is required to be replaced every 60k miles (and you really don't want to chance a timing belt, fyi). The 1st time you have the belt changed you really have no need to change the water pump. But, the 2nd time (120k) it is worth taking into consideration. Especially if that vehicle is older, remember gaskets get dry over time and fail. So, if you decide to replace the water pump when you do the 2nd T belt, you will have to replace the coolant then, which would be 30k miles before it's reccomended changing.

And lastly: ALL DEALER SHIPS WANT TO SEE YOU A BILL OF GOODS!!!!! Well, nearly all. You go in for a service (oil change) and they give you a list of **** they SAY your car needs. It needs a cabin air filter, a differential service, a power steering flush, a brake fluid flush, trans flush, cooling system flush, etc etc... And the average person knows no better and has them do it. So that car could have 72,893 miles on it, and they will drain and flush the cooling system for no good reason other then to make a buck. That's if they even ******* do it! Oh Mr. Johnson, your car needs it's brake fluid flushed... What do most of them do? They grab a vacuum gun, suck the fluid out of the master cylinder, and refill with new so it looks like they did it.

Now, don't get me wrong, some of these "services" are bennifical. Like if your car is 15 years old and the brake fluid is brown as dog ****, it should be flushed. It has obsorbed lots of water, and possibly other debris, and that's not good. But, most of these ******* dealers just want to make a sale and do no work. Which is not the right thing to do by the customer, or in some cases, the vehicle, too.
