Im hoping I get my head back from the machine shop before the weekend. If I do Ill be ready to go up for Elite status!! It'll only take me a couple hours to tear down and re-assemble mine! Nice thing about me getting extra parts when I was prepping!!

Well hopefully my rappy clutch setup will be in today and i put that on.

Almost finished the work on the Yoshi and mounting of it. Gonna have to shim the airbox up a bit, but I finally got to here it with no leaks and it sounds great. So great in fact that it should also keep the DNR off my back when we are trail riding!

Took the carb to work and cleaned the hell out of it. Still waiting for parts to come in........

Got a stage 2 hotcam and some hd springs gonna put stage 1 in 87 motor waiting on brake line clamps and lines to install full flights

Got my ALBA racing brake clamps and the R1 clutch perch for my aluminum anadized blue lever and also got the matching R1 brake lever today!(I'll be stripping the red paint and going with anadized blue to match the lever

Well I was planning on puting the carb back on today but I am still waiting for parts.....a week and a half later! :( I did get the rebuid kit so I out that on.

Put new oil and filter in. K&N filter and Valvoline 10w40 ATV oil. Damn that filter was dirty! Glad it's out now. First oil change since I got her about 6 weeks ago. Running smooth as butter.

Changed the oil and opted for the Rotella T 15W40 this time. I'm curious if somehow this oil might somehow not seep past the valve seals as easily and burn up so much on startup, but that's probably a longshot. Either way I have to eventually get new valve seals, I just don't know if me and my dad will be able to do the job ourselves or not. Also noticed a bit of gas coming out the carb overflow tube, gonna have to inspect the carb once the weather warms up.

boy it feels good to be back on here! im going to start getting my carb issue figured out so i can ride the bitch! i love my bike but i really love the quad!

Started it up and got it to operating temperature by modulating the throttle instead of having the choke on, as a test. This produced much less oil smoke than if I had just pulled the choke and let it run. I think I'll do this from now on for the rest of the cold starts this winter (almost over) to save oil, and i can also keep the RPMs lower during warmup. Also gives me a better idea of when it's warmed up and ready to go.

Bookmarked some stuff I'm watching on ebay. Sold some parts.. Took pictures for my parts-for-sale-thread..
