I recently replaced the original clutch perch with an ez-pull and now I'm draining my battery.. or something is. I read all the tutorials on the subject and my understanding is you wire the clutch sensor together (the PB was already removed when I got it) and away you go. I went on a nice little ride and stopped to check things over and the battery was dead! Luckliy some good-ol-boy came by and gave me a push. It fired right up. Once home the battery was still dead. Worked fine until I did this mod... WTF?

Humm? How new is the battery?

This is weird. SO you didn't connect the sensors only untill you put this new perch on.

Well, I did just buy the quad about 4 weeks ago so don't really know how old the bat. is? It's been working fine until I took the old perch off and tied the wires together. I guess I can start the bike then disconnect the wires to see if it drains the bat. I cringe when it comes to the electical stuff...ugh.

So joining those 2 wires together will not, in your opinion, cause this problem?

Nope, it souldnet do anything, just close the circuit. U sure you put the perch wires together? U said u tied them together? It should just be two plugs.

How where they before? If it ant broke, don't fix it I guess.

It's the closest connector to the trottle cable, right? You couldn't connect it together. It had a copper post and spring with copper flangy thingy's so I cut the wires and... crap did I tie the PB together instead?

HUH? Got any pics? I know there are some on here somewhere of what exactly it looks like that you connect. No splicing involved.

Nah, I know they say a 1000 words. I'm going back up this weekend to figure this out. I'll get some if I get stuck again.

Thanks Bro

the wires you connect together have a male and female end, you just unplug them from the harness and plug them together, like dead said, no cutting and splicing
