Thank. Sorry to hi-jack, but have you ever heard of anyone putting N2o on their Warrior/Raptor 350?

I am just curious on how a 397 Raptor would do on it. It should be around 65hp right?

maybe but I think you'd toast your motor I theink the warrior raptor kit is only like 10hp buty that is ALOT in these little motors. You can probably make it produce more with a little home fab to get higher hp but i think you would toast the motor pretty quick and might need a lower compression piston and run it so rich that it will only run good on the bottle if it holds up

This is prob best in another thread, but Nitrious cuts the life of a motor in half. I know from experience with drag cars having to rebuild the motors every year or 2 years.

Thanks '98! What if I had a HR crank, it seems like it would hold up to a 20 shot pretty good?

Nah any shot of juice reeks havoc on the pistin, rings, and cylinder wall. If the fuel/air ratio aint perfect, i dont care how bullet proof the motor theres gonna be a big BOOM and white smoke rolling out the pipes haha. I dont know about these warrior motors. I mean the drag cars and such that use big hits of juice use all forged, and balanced rotating assemblys. I dont think and highly dought that the warrior cranks, factory or aftermarket are forged steel. I could be wrong thou

Also you gotta factor in head gaskets too. You'll def. need a mls type head gasket and make sure them mounting surfaces are perfectly level or when the Go Go juice is activated it will blow it like nothing was there. There use to be a couple guys on here that had a nitrious kit on there warrior. I know Boxhead did and i think Deathshadow did also. Look at the Gone but not forgotten thread and elite

You are correct. What sometimes happens is the fuel solenoid will fail or they just run a lean fuel setting and you will have a nice paper weight.

Back when I was going to school at UTI, hot rod u. . we ran cars all day on the dyno with just NOS kits. I think the biggest one we installed was a 175hp shot.. It's been awhile. Anyway these cars ran years, day and night on the dyno with kids beating the **** out of them. It really showed me that nitrous isn't any different then a supercharger or turbo if you think about it. Also can be just as reliable. Old WWII planes used it as a power adder.
Anyway. Any power you add to any engine will make it wear out quicker. That is just a fact of how **** works. haha

I personally think you could add nitrous onto a stock or mild warrior as long as you have a way to add fuel and a reliable way it would work just find and be an awesome power adder. Only bad thing is having to fill the bottle and weight of it when not in use.

I have a 250 shot V-8 kit with a filled 40lb (yes, 40) bottle for sale... little bit 'o modification for the one lunger and you're in... :)

I actually am thinking about putting a 75hp or 100hp shot on my stang. Its got forged pistons and chromoly rings, but idk yet. I guess if the shot isnt too big it wont be as much of a strain. It is very similar to turbos or blowers, just they are focing more air in, so the motor needs more fuel.

I seen a while ago a company made a nitrious kit for the warrior. I know on most car kits they come with the extra solenoid to add the right amount of fuel to the mix when its activated. Wonder if the kit for the warrior came with that. it would be sweet to have the dunes or hillclimbs!

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. The stock headgasket on the warrior has a triple layer steel sandwhich type which is very reliable gasket. Pretty much can't get better unless you want to fire ring it.

Haha then when a big rock or something peirces the tank you go boom with the quad :haha:

Anyway thats a bottle there!

No just figure out where to put the bottle and your good to go!! haha I'd have to look on the warrior kit. You for sure want to add in fuel for the extra oxgen being injected.

Truthfully I would for sure put nitrous on the stang. Have it on there just in case something big needs to put in it's place. I can tell you right now I have totally changed my mind on NOS. I used to hate it and all I heard was how it was great at wreaking ****. Well you get some idiot installing it guess what is going to happen.. haha No I think it can be made perfectly reliable and as long as the engine can handle the extra power. The other thing it would be for a very short period of time that the cooling system should be able to take it.

The small 75-100 shots for the FI cars are "dry" fogger type nozzle (N2O only, no fuel solenoid). The injectors and computer will compensate for the instant "lean" when you mash the button. Bigger shots need the wet kits. I have a dry one for my 5.0 but haven't installed it yet.

Carbed kits will all need to be wet.

Hmm im gonna have to look into it more, i think the same way how you use to. It kinda scares me for fear of messing something up, but thats what perfesionals are for huh haha. It'll hold its own with all motor but the extra shot would make it all the better!
